DAY 6: give Forgiveness

This is different than yesterday. Ask God to show you anyone who has wronged or hurt you. Admit the hurt and let it go. Keep in mind that the person may not be aware that they’ve wronged you. Also, remember that we cannot develop a grudge against those who reject our forgiveness or attempts to be reconciled.

Ask God to check your motives and confirm that they are pure. This day is not to be used to point fingers at others but to seek restoration to broken relationships. We need to forgive people when they sin against us just as God offers us forgiveness!

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your heavenly Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15

Suggestions

• Before you go to school, ask God to show you those who have hurt you. Realizing that the person may not respond or chang —do it anyway.
• Realizing that the person may not change, do it anyway because you're the one who has sinned. Remember that the person may not be aware that they've offended you.

Adults
Ask God to show you anyone (boss, family member, minister, etc.) against whom you hold a grudge. Admit it and let it go.
